Shirodhara HeadFlow Stress Therapy

Shirodhara is by far the most iconic treatment of Ayurveda. It is considered the King of all treatments, as it treats a wide variety of conditions in Ayurvedic clinical practice including stress, migraine and insomnia.

Shiro - meaning head and dhara - to flow or continuously pour. It is known as ‘The King of all Ayurvedic Therapies”, but I like to think of it as the Queen! Shirodhara is one of the most effective treatments used in Ayurveda today, for the deepest of relaxation and calmness to the mind.
Warm herb-infused sesame oil is gently poured in a stream over the 3rd eye/forehead. This treatment is known for its therapeutic effects on anxiety, stress, insomnia and any stress related disorders.

What to expect

The sessions begins with a guided body scan meditation to bring full body relaxation.

A face cleanse with Rose Water follows this before a marma point face massage using herbalised face oil.

We then begin the Shirodhara HeadFlow with warm herbalised oils flowed onto the third eye and across the forehead, the head is massaged from time to time paying particular attention to the marma points on the forehead and scalp. This brings a deep sense of letting go allowing the nervous system to become deeply relaxed.
